Office #19 | Wednesday

Now that a new semester was starting, Bruce was back to holding regular office hours. It was a little different than it had been last semester, though, because instead of taking some time out of his personal time at the hotel to make himself available to students for a few hours, office hours were looking more like the personal time, while his time at 33 Apocalypse ran the risk of being a little more social.

That was fine, though, because Bruce's office was comfortable (read: spartan), and if he showed up significantly earlier than he assumed most students had an interest in waking up, he figured that he was guaranteed at least a few solid hours of introvert recharge time before anyone came by to bother him.

Uh. Talk to him. Not 'bother.' He didn't know why he'd thought 'bother.'

Bruce laughed. "I can't believe I didn't think of that," he admitted. "All the more reason to refrain. I don't know that the administration would love seeing that in a teacher's office."

It had probably happened before. Deadpool and all.

"The principal's got a dartboard with someone's face on it," Clint said with a shrug. "This place doesn't seem like it has a lot of rules overall. It's pretty awesome that way."

"No wonder there are students who break into the security chief's office and put balloons in it," Bruce mused, sounding more curious than anything. Then, because he really had to know, he asked, "...Whose face?"

"An old student, apparently? Someone named Jamie?" Clint said. "Needless to say, I think you could get by with a calendar or some pictures. Would calming things help?"

Bruce didn't even sigh about that kind of question anymore, even if he didn't love being asked it. He did rub his forehead a little, but when he looked up after a moment, he looked as wry and amicable as ever. "What've you got?"

"I don't know, like plants and stuff?" Clint said, tilting his head a little to look at Bruce. "That was probably a rude question, wasn't it? I didn't mean it like I thought you might need it or anything, I just... want to encourage contentment with your situation."

Plants? That was... actually not a bad idea.

"Oh," Bruce said, very slightly taken aback by the clarification but certainly relieved to hear it. The gratitude showed on his face as he said, "Uh. Yeah, I can do plants."
